6 ways to ensure that you are having fun at the photo booth
- Don’t take yourself too seriously
The photo booth is meant to be a fun experience! Let loose, breathe in and have a good time. The pros should give you an indication of the type of experience we’re hoping to create for you. If you’re doing it right, you should look something like this. The rule of thumb is this: if you’re self-conscious or feel that you’re trying too hard then take a few seconds to ease up on the pressure. A neat trick we suggest you try is to turn off your thoughts and just be in the present.
- Don’t be afraid of the props; they are there to help you have fun.
Take the time to go through all the signs, the different glasses – basically go through everything and pick what suits your crazy side best. If anyone says anything you don’t like, the props are equally there to help you be passive aggressive (just don’t quote us on that). Of course, please do handle the props with care given they are the extra sauce that makes the photos even better.
- Come as you are.
We aren’t here to judge, and if those around you do, then you need a new crew. The point is, be as goofy as you want to be, by unleashing the inner child. Think of it as the perfect opportunity to unwind as well as having a memorable event. If your host paid for it, it means they are keen on you having a fantastic time.
- The more, the merrier.
Don’t be afraid to gather and shepherd an entire table to the photo booth. When coming for a pic, gather your friends and family and have a good time. Check out this photo of how the group dynamic can make for some extraordinary memories. We promise … group photos are always the best.
- Look into the camera and not the screen.
Think of it as selfie, only that there’s no stick. For that perfect “look into my eyes” shot, ensure that you look into the camera. Our handsome assistant Sam will show you where that is, just in case ?
- Be nice.
That is with regards to hogging the photo booth. If you’ve taken a photo (or several) already, give room for others to take their own. You’re allowed to take as many pictures as you please, but only do so when the traffic is less. That sounds apparent, however, it is just a polite reminder not to be the reason why another person doesn’t get the most out of the photo booth.
